Details are now availalbe below and are also listed under the Service Information tab of his tribute page.

Roberto Carlos Carrasco Torres, 33 years of age, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away on December 1st, 2017.

Roberto was born in Linares, Chile on May 25, 1984. He graduated from Liceo Politecnico C-40 Berta Zamorano Highschool in Coltauco, Chile and continued on to receive a scholarship from the Government of Chile to study in Canada. He earned a diploma in Culinary Management from Niagara College in St. Catharines, Ontario. He received numerous awards and recognition during his studies.

Roberto started his career working as a Buffet-steward for Sun Princess cruise ship. That job gave him the opportunity to travel the world and gain experiences in the culinary industry. He has worked for many big names in the culinary world. His professional experiences include Cafe Boulud, Hotel Le Germain, Oliver & Bonacini, Rogers, and AGO just to name a few. He cooked delicious and fancy meals. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, singing, dance-off, socializing, taking a long walk, and spending time with his friends. He loved all kinds of foods and he was a foodie. He loved all you can eat dim sum, all you can eat sushi, all you can eat Indian, Chinese, Italian and he 'd never gain an ounce!. He also loved Titanic, BBQ Doritos, red wine, and vodka cranberry; not necessarily in that order.

Roberto was a man full of dreams. He was very passionate about friendship, love and the culinary world. His laugh and charming personality is what make him special. Whoever was part of his life will remember him this way.
