Denny, Sonia and Mike
It is with a heavy heart and tears that I have just learned of MaryAnn's passing. I was calling to set up our Christmas visit and she didn't answer the phone...
I met MaryAnn when attending at her and Denny's home off Huronia quite a few years ago now. I was her Red Cross worker and so every two weeks, I'd clean and we'd share what was happening in our lives. She was always attentive to the antics of my crazy family and she always remembered who was where and what they were doing. She became a friend and so we carried on our visits after my Red Cross days ended, after she moved, albeit every few months. I last visited in August and talked to her in September I believe, after a visit West to meet a new little granddaughter. She had a busy schedule tho with health workers coming in and appointments, so we put off the next visit. Now I have tears.
MaryAnn was a lovely lady. She had a warmth about her and a caring spirit. It was obvious to me, a stranger, her love for Ralph. The pictures posted here are wonderful; to see them so happy and her with Denny and her family. We always touched base on the family and her friends and she was so thankful to have you all in her circle.
I can say that she touched my life and my heart and she'll be remembered as a good friend.
Cheers to you MaryAnn...it was nice to have known you...love you.

Denny, Sonia and Mike our heartfelt condolence. Mary will be missed (yes.. everyone called her Maryann but she was always Mary to me). It has been a week and I can't believe Mary is gone. Mary has been my closest friend for over 50 years and I am feeling the loss but I know she is in a better place. She is now with her soul mate Ralph. It has been 17 years since Ralph passed and she never stopped loving and missing him or talking about him. Mary had a very positive outlook on life. Whenever, I needed someone to talk to she was always there for me, looking for the silver lining on whatever the issue was. I was so blessed to have Mary as my friend. Over the years, we experienced so much together from marriage, the birth of our children, the loss of our parents and so many good times. We spent numerous vacations together and Mary was there at all our special occasions in our life. Unfortunately, I lost a large number of photos due to a flood; however, I am posting photos of what I have left. The first photo is Mary celebrating her 40th birthday. The second photo is with Pete and |Kitty, friends of Mary and Ralph. It was because of Pete and Kitty that Mary met the love of her life Ralph. The third photo is a family shot at a special occasion with our family. The last two photos are Mary and Ralph celebrating New Year's Eve with us. Rest in peace my friend... until we meet again. Your friend Florence.
