Barry loved the outdoors. He loved nature. He cared passionately about the environment and tried to protect the earth in whatever way he could. He loved beautiful flowers and trees. He planted roses, other flowers, and tended a vegetable garden for me. He also planted a tree in the backyard many years ago. Every autumn, the falling leaves would cover the whole backyard and Barry would be out there raking them up as I watched from the window. This autumn, it broke my heart to watch the leaves falling off the tree, drifting by the window, flying all over the backyard, and Barry was not there to rake them up. I miss him so much.
