Alan Molitz married Nancy Young, April 1st, 1967, in a ceremony in Rochester NY, while they were juniors at the Eastman School of Music. Both won the coveted performance certificate, and in fulfillment performed a concerto with the Eastman Rochester Orchestra. Alan played Burnet Tuthill concerto for double-bass, and Nancy played Richard Strauss’ first concerto for horn and orchestra. Alan and Nancy went on to win positions in the double-bass and horn sections of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
