Obituary of Krystyna Krzewinska
It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma Krystyna Krzewinska. She passed away suddenly of a stroke in the right side of her brain, on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Born on August 12, 1936, in Poland, Krysia was the cherished daughter of the late Aniela and Stanislaw Brzezinski, and the dear twin sister of the late Tadeusz Brzezinski. Krysia was the devoted mother to Ania, Wojtek, i Krzysio, as well as the beloved mother-in-law to their spouses. She was a proud and doting grandmother to Agnieszka, Konrad, Agata, Sonia, Madzia, Kasper, and Mayra and a loving great-grandmother to Safiya, Kasim, Nela and Maya. She always said that the heart grows with each new person you love.
Immigrating to Canada with her daughter in 1992, Krysia chose a life in a new, unknown country, sacrificing her own comfort for that of her children and for the sake of the family staying together. Krysia lived her life trying to help others. She was known for her kindness, warmth and the unwavering love she extended to her family and friends. While Krysia was a quiet and unassuming person, she was a caring and compassionate soul who brought light and goodness into the lives of everyone she met. Her friends and loved ones were blessed to have her as a steadfast presence in their lives. She was passionate about many things: family, faith, reading, great conversation, travel, good tea, nature, and deep and meaningful relationships.
Her gentle spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Krysia’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
