Obituary of Ken Souter

Peacefully, on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital, St. Catharines on his own terms and with his unique sense of humour still intact, leaving behind his wife Betty-Lou, son Greg, grandchildren Alison and Brendan, his beloved Murdoch as well as the Bowen, Cutlan and Samways families.

He is remembered by his colleagues in the Shipping Industry, his many golfing friends on and off the green (including the 19th hole) and those with whom he met on his travels.  He was predeceased by his parents Son & Elda Souter, his son Stephen and daughter-in-law Krista.

A private family cremation will be followed by a Celebration of Life to be held at the St. Catharines Golf Club at a later date to be announced. Please check this memorial page for updates.

In lieu of flowers,  donations to the Souter Family Fund at the Niagara Community Foundation would be appreciated by the family. This year the Souter Family Fund will be supporting one of Kenny’s passions, Junior Golf in Niagara. Such donations can be made by clicking HERE or on the Donations tab, above.

Join us in celebrating Ken's life on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club, Annette Gibson Hall (70 Westchester Avenue, St. Catharines) between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. with a Tribute to Ken to be delivered at 2 p.m. A recording of his Tribute is availble at the link below.
