Obituary of Ella Rizza Florendo Cordero
It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of Ella Rizza Florendo Cordero on May 23, 2025. Daughter of Larry (predeceased) and Eppie. Ella Rizza was born on July 14, 1979 in Manila, Philippines. Adored sister to Mortimer, Nicassius and Rowena, Chacha and Ronnie, Lawrence and Seleena and David and Lala.
Ella graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, majoring in Communications Technology, from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2002. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mary Chiles College a couple of years later. She spent most of her career in Human Resources in Dubai and Toronto.
Ella was nature-oriented and believed in simplicity and sustainability. She liked to plan and travel to exotic and adventurous locations all over the globe. Although she enjoyed staying at vacation resorts, she relished immersing herself in the culture of the country she was visiting. A very organized person, she would write insightful tidbits about the moments she captured in her camera.
Ella is survived by her partner Marlon, and their son Andre Farr. She was a supportive partner and nurturing mother. She always had the best intentions for her family. She loved to prepare new recipes that were healthy and delicious that her family enjoyed. Ella cared and loved Andre tremendously. She wanted the best for him by providing the values she could pass down from her upbringing: compassion and respect for others, and faithfulness and devotion to God. She prayed daily with and for the family, especially Andre and Marlon.
