It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Todd Dafoe, who left us peacefully on November 1st, 2025, at the age of 56. Todd was a man of immense creativity, compassion, and warmth, with an unforgettable smile that would light up any room.
A gifted guitarist and lifelong lover of music, Todd found joy and meaning in every note he played.
Todd also loved to paint, his talent for painting reflected his unique way of seeing the world, colourful, thoughtful, and full of life. We trust he's in heaven now creating masterpieces guided by one of his artistic heroes, Bob Ross. Whether he was strumming his guitar or working at his easel, Todd poured his heart into his art, leaving behind not only beautiful pieces but cherished memories for all who knew him.
He had a quiet, gentle way of reminding us to slow down, to listen, to feel, to see the world around us. Whether it was through a shared song, a story, his fun facts or a painting he’d just finished, Todd made every moment feel special.
Todd is survived by his loving parents, his mother Dianne (Dave) and his father Robert (Susan); his sister Richelle; his brothers, James (Nitya), Jasen and Robert; his beloved nieces and nephew; Haley, Emma, Katie, Amy, Chris, Jasen, Olivia, and Tyler, and his great nieces Aaliyah and Valentina.
Todd is reunited with his stepfather George in heaven.
Todd’s kindness, humour, and creative soul touched everyone he met. His music and paintings will continue to inspire everyone that was lucky enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered always.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 14th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 220 Missinnihe Way, Mississauga, Ontario, L5H 0A9 on the main floor.
