I pale in comparison to the effect the vast majority who know the Dunns have had in their lives.
Imagine my surprise when Rob informed me, Robbie’s house league hockey coach for all of half a season to date, of what happened.
It was an honour to attend the visitation and speak to Rob.

I have fond memories of her playing baseball on our family tournament teams many years ago. She was our ringer!! …and our looker!!!
One time there were some fans on the sidelines who where catcalling my younger and beautiful cousin…my husband who was coaching first base when this was happening simply turned around and replied to the would be suiters « well thank you ».
Of course we all laughed!
Her fun loving spirit will be missed.
I have witnessed with sadness the heartbreak of my uncle Jean-Marc and his wife Vivi these past few months …
But more importantly I saw the love they have for Melissa and her beautiful family. They showed it in their actions and their dedication to them.
We think of all of you at this difficult time. Love and hugs Lyne Giroux and Paul Lefebvre and family.

So sad to hear this. We met at TC Media and took many walks and lunches together.
I knew right away that her family life was so important to her.
Such a lovely, fun-loving and caring young lady.
Her family is blessed to have had her in their lives.
I am sad but so honoured to have known her for as long as I did.

Absolutely saddened by this news. Worked with Melissa for few years and we sat beside each other. She was such a funny, and extremely nice person. Thinking of her young family during this very tough time.

When we moved into the neighbourhood, Mel was one of the first people who made me feel welcome. She was always so kind, inviting me to the beach and over for a drink in the garage. Mel was way more fun than me though, always ready for karaoke or a game of darts, and she reminded me to say yes a little more often.
I’m devastated that she’s gone, especially knowing she leaves behind her beautiful family. Our neighbourhood won’t feel the same without her warmth, her laughter, and her generous spirit. We will miss her deeply.

Dear Rob, Robbie, Jody, Barb, Jean-Marc, Sylvie, Bob and Carol,
Our family is so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Mel, wife, mother and daughter.
Mel’s obituary is such a beautiful testament to her very meaningful life.
Although I only met Mel once, at her bridal shower held at Carol and Bob’s home, I could tell immediately that Mel was a beautiful soul, bright, fun and energetic and I could sense the love held for her by everyone in the room. I remember lots of laughter and fun that afternoon.
That love will have grown over the years. Mel was loved and will continue to be loved by you all.
And today, we are sending each of you love, as well as strength, care, compassion and gentle hugs as you navigate the uncertain path ahead.

I am so sorry for your loss. Melissa was in my class in high school. She sat in the back corner right next to Jamie-Lynn. I remember them sneaking smiles and funny looks to each other during lessons. Both were serious students. Condolences to her family and friends.
