Obituary of Frederick Lloyd Foster
In celebration of the life of Frederick Lloyd Foster, a man whose presence was larger than life and whose journey touched many hearts.
Frederick Lloyd Foster was born on June 22, 1944, in Devon, Manchester, Jamaica. From humble beginnings, he grew into a man of strength, resilience, and many talents.
Throughout his life, Frederick wore many hats and embraced each role with determination and pride. He served as a police officer, worked as a taxi driver, was a salesman, and later became a business owner. Whatever he chose to do, he approached it with dedication and a strong work ethic.
Frederick was a very social man who enjoyed conversation and connections. He had a deep passion for politics and loved engaging with others in lively discussions about current events and the world around him.
His voice, his opinions, and his larger-than-life personality made Frederick a person that people naturally gravitated toward. He loved to talk, debate, laugh, and share stories — and those moments will be remembered by everyone who knew him.
In 2023, Frederick proudly became a Canadian citizen, marking another milestone in a life built on perseverance, courage, and new beginnings.
At the heart of Frederick’s life was his family. He was the father of four children: Winsome, Righteous, Denise, and Jason. Though his beloved daughter Winsome predeceased him, her memory always remained close to his heart.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Elijah and Ric-ann, and his great-grandchild, Kaia, who represents the future and the continuation of his story.
Frederick also shared companionship and love with his partner, Cathy, who stood by his side and was an important part of his life.
On March 5, 2026, Frederick Lloyd Foster peacefully departed this life and was reunited with his beloved mother, Millicent Darling, and his daughter, Winsome.
Frederick lived a life defined by strength, determination, passion, and personality. He worked hard, loved deeply, spoke boldly, and left an impression on everyone who had the chance to know him.
Though he is no longer with us physically, his stories, laughter, wisdom, and spirit will continue to live on through his family and friends.
Today we celebrate his life, cherish his memory, and give thanks for the time shared with him.
May he rest in eternal peace.
