Obituary of Debbie Lee Wood
In Loving Memory of Debbie Lee Wood
Debbie Lee Wood, 63, passed away surrounded by her family on March 11, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love and cherished memories with her family.
Born in Haileybury, Ontario, she later made her home in Brampton, Ontario, where she found happiness sharing her home with the people she loved most.
Debbie is survived by Todd, her daughter Kristine ,son-in-law Jeremy, and Aaron. She was also the proud and loving grandmother to Averi and Auston, who affectionately called her “Nanny.”
Her grandchildren were her whole heart and soul and she cherished every moment she could spend with them. She loved cheering them on at their games—whether it was Averi’s softball or Auston’s soccer. She loved watching them both.
Debbie is also survived by her three sisters and one brother, many nieces and nephews and many family members and friends who will miss her deeply. Debbie was predeceased by her beloved parents, Shirley and Gordon and a sister with whom she is now reunited.
A Message from Debbie:
“If you’re reading this, don’t be sad for too long. Remember the laughs we shared, the hugs, and the love. Take care of each other, hold your family close, and know that I’ll always be watching over you.”
A Special Message for Averi and Auston:
“My sweet Averi and Auston, Nanny loved you more than words could ever say. I was so proud of you every day, cheering you on at your games and watching you grow. Keep smiling, keep playing, and remember that Nanny’s love will always be with you.”
Debbie’s warmth, love, and joy will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
