Known affectionately by his family as the “animal whisperer,” John found great peace and happiness in nature. He spent countless hours in his garden, tending to and caring for local wildlife. He had a wide range of interests and passions, including fishing, hockey, soccer, video games, and working with his hands.
A man of creativity and curiosity, John had a lifelong passion for history and craftsmanship. Combining his artistic talent with his engineering skills, he created intricate and beautiful wooden ship models through his company, The Art of Age of Sail.
