I'm very sad to hear of Heathers passing. She was my first skating coach and she had a huge influence on me. I can remember I would purposely push with one foot until she would start chasing me around the rink telling me to use both feet :) I thought about her every time I stepped on the ice to compete. She always had time for a chat and was always interested in what you were up to. Her positive attitude and radiant smile are what I will remember most. She was a beautiful person inside and out.

We are so very sorry to hear of Heathers passing. We only knew her for a short time but liked her immediately the first time we met her. My Mom, Bette Rank, took to Heather right away and they became fast friends. I loved Heather's spirit. I loved walking into Hope Street Terrace and seeing her sitting there listening to music, snapping her fingers, dancing in her chair. She was a true inspiration. My heart goes out to you and your family. RIP Heather. Say hi to Mom for me.
