Hi there,
I just stumbled upon Mrs. McLean's obituary. I have fond memories of Mrs. McLean through my grandparents, Bill and Ruth Taylor - both in Sudbury and Florida - but especially my mom, Joyce Taylor. My mom had a very special place in her heart for your mom. (My mom passed December 2014).
I was sorry to read that she argued with Alzheimer's leading up to her death. I hope she won her fair share of the arguments.

We are all so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. She will be truly missed. One of the original Applewood Acres icons! All the kids on the street had so much respect for your mom growing up as she had so much class! We always made sure that when we were around her, that our noses were wiped, our shoes were tied and always on our best behaviour!LOL!

Laurence, Bill, Don and Suzie
I was sorry to read of your Mother's death in the Globe on Friday. She did indeed live a good long life. You will all miss her very much, I have so many memories of your mother from many years ago, living next door on Melton Drive . Your mother always seemed to have a fresh homebaked cookie to give to every child that came to your back door .She must have spent alot of time in the kitchen-I do remember her often sending samples of new recipes she tried over to our house.
Marie was such a good friend of my mother's for so many years - I was just thinking that it must be about 60 years (until dementia made it difficult for them both to keep in touch.) I will always remember your mother as such a kind , generous person, with a flair for fashion (must be the French influence) and a great cook!
I am passing along a few photos that I came across-our mothers would have been in their 80's when they did the trip to Italy- I think they had alot of fun on that trip!

Dear McLean family,
