Obituary of Gordon Robert Purdy

Gordon Purdy passed way peacefully on Friday June 23, 2017 at the age of 72.  Beloved husband to late Jill Purdy, loving father of Ryan Purdy (Katie Stucky) and Ashley Purdy (Robert Kress), proud grandfather to Ryley Kress and Carly Kress and dear brother to Betty, Nancy, Robert and Norman.

Gordon worked for 30 years at the TTC where he retired at the age of 54.  He continued to work as a plumber as more of a hobby which he really enjoyed.  Gordon was well known in the Beaches area as “Gord the Plumber”.  Gordon was an honest, simple man who was quiet but social and loved by all who met him.  Gordon was diagnosed, 3 weeks before his death, with stage 4 cancer, it was a complete shock and devastation to his family and all who knew him.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life in Gordon’s honour on Saturday August 19, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. at Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club.
