Obituary of Doris Paterson

Doris Paterson died peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the age of 83. Dearly loved wife of John and mother of the late Ian. Doris came to Canada in 1957 from her proud birthplace of Hamilton, Scotland where she then met and fell in love with John Paterson, who would then become her husband. She and John enjoyed over 59 years of beautiful marriage enjoying traveling, gardening, music and home life together.

She will also be missed by her sister Irene Evans and her brother William Gadsden. She is predeceased by her brothers George and Robert Gadsden. Also missed by numerous nieces, nephews and their families and many special friends and neighbours.

We welcome you to celebrate her life with us on Friday, July 7, 2017 for visiting from 10:15-10:30 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held, at the eco Life Celebration Centre - Magnolia Room of St. John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium (737 Dundas St. East, Mississauga, at Cawthra). Cremation will follow the service and a reception will be held onsite at 11 a.m.

Interment to take place on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Streetsville Public Cemetery.
