How we enjoyed all those times when he was able to join us for a meal or chat while visiting you in the Beaches over these past few years. Who will pester Fred to come and build that stone wall out back for you? Our most sincere condolences.

Dear Sue and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Joe (or Mr. S with an E, as we called him.) Our whole family has such warm and funny memories of Joe. His appearance at the pre-Regatta festivities as the official mainland beer-taster is the stuff of legend. And so many of his unique phrases and expressions have become part of my vocabulary (I think of him every time I reach for the aluminum foil.) He was always kind and generous -- never once complaining when Sue and I dragged him to all those plays at Stratford! Joe was truly one of the greats. He will be missed.
