I am so sorry for your lost. I knew Vicki and Kimmo for quite some time lost touch over the years but they were always my favourite couple. Everyone loved Kimmo. I am sadden to hear he is gone. The both of them would lighten up a room with their presence. Kimmo was very well known and from what I knew he was loved by everyone and was immediately like by people when they met him. The world has lost an amazing soul.

Dearest Vicky, I tried to put this in the Memories section but I'm not too tech savvy so I'm in this section now! I know Kimmo would have a good laugh at my ineptitude. I have many memories, but a few stand out. First off...when Erkki and Ritva moved into Horizon Village in Don Mills, I used to babysit Jaana and Kimmo often. I loved going there not only because the kids were great, but because they had a fabulous record collection!! The Eagles Hotel California was a big hit at that time..... and ABBA was all the rage. No doubt this was the beginning of his love for music!! Kimmo and my brother Jason were thick as thieves from that time forward, and I remember them racing around the neighbourhood on their Big Wheels!! Many years later, in 2001, I moved to Buckhorn, Ont. and he came up for a weekend with Jason and showed me how to work my custom built, wood burning hot tub, (milk vat).... and outside sauna. Even going as far as to prune the Birch trees for some kind of weird massage!! LOL I did not participate! ha ha. In recent years, I actually moved into Kimmo and Vicky's immediate neighbourhood. Because of their very close friendship with my brother, Jason...they always invited me to different events at their home. I was very fortunate to be included over the last few years to occasional Christmases, Thanksgiving, Super Bowl ,
Can v Fin hockey games..... and the celebration of their children's births and birthdays!!!
To you, Vicky...Alex and Jax, Ritva and Erkki, Jaana and all of your families...........
I don't think I have appropriate, or meaningful enough words to tell you how heartbroken I am for your loss.
I will just send you my love, and I will think of Kimmo often. ❤️

We are deeply saddened by this enormous loss.
Kimmo’s passing leaves this world with one less shining bright light.
He had such a great spirit- such a big heart - always willing to help anyone who needed it - always bringing his great charm, wit, care and contagious smile along with him.
Kimmo’s presence would light up the room. He loved life and he couldn’t hide it. Everyone would gravitate toward him because he knew how to make people feel good. Whether it was having a good laugh or enjoying his warm hugs, Kimmo had a natural ability to make you forget your worries. He didn’t have to try, it was just who he was.
He cared greatly for the people in his life and we could all undoubtedly feel that from him.
He was a very special man who left us with many wonderful and happy memories that we will always cherish.
