Wishing peace for you throughout this very difficult time, and taking comfort in memories of times together with you and Olga at Nanny's cottage so many years ago (oh how she loved it when the two of you would stop in and visit), and this past summer at my place celebrating Dad's birthday.

We are so sad to think of Olga anywhere else except at the end of her driveway tending her small garden and greeting people as they passed by. Olga was the first person we met when we moved onto the street and she was a wonderful neighbour; we loved exchanging gardening advice, juicy gossip and updates on our families. She popped over occasionally for a drink on the front porch and was so sweet to our kids, bringing over Halloween and Easter gifts every year. We loved attending her art shows which seemed as much about gathering together her friends and neighbours as it did about selling any art. We were especially drawn to her surreal painting of a tree-filled lagoon - something new for Olga who loved her flowers! She was very modest about this piece but you could tell she was proud of it. We were thrilled to buy it and we will posting it in this tribute album. Olga shared her passion for art with our own budding artist, Chris, and offered him art lessons which he was very excited about. Of course she went above and beyond and bought him a beautiful art set he uses still today.
We will always remember her wicked sense of humour, pretentiousness and self-effacing manner and that wonderful twinkle in her eye that warned you a good story was on its way. Condolences to the family in this difficult time. Linda and Tony

It was with great sadness that I heard the very sad news, tonight, from a mutual friend, Matt Turpin, that Olga had passed away.
Ever since Matt introduced me to Olga via social media (realising that we might be able to share our lives as artists, via online communications), we both realised we shared a passion for art that went beyond our fine art practice; that we had a deep respect for the natural environment and all that inhabited it. This love of the ecosystem was particularly evident in Olga’s beautiful flower and bird paintings and her sensitivity towards the natural environment will, no doubt, be her lasting legacy.
It became apparent to me during the short time I knew Olga, via online communication, that she was a very kind person, that her generosity knew no bounds and her sense of humour and wit was limitless.
I am only sorry Olga and I never got to meet, but I will treasure the messages and images of her paintings and of herself that she sent me.
Finally, I wish to express my deepest condolences to Olga’s family and friends at such a sad and difficult time. May she Rest in Peace.

We've just heard the news and are devastated.
I first met Olga about a decade ago when she asked to paint a photo of mine she'd seen online. I was delightes to oblige, and the result was astonishing. I loved her art.We became friends and we'd email loads:she came to know my friends and they too came to know she was a special, talented, wonderfully kind person.
She was a great support at difficult times, and a cheerleader for me when times were good: my wedding, my writing, the birth of my son. She took a special interest in the latter and loved our baby, Leif, like he was family. Which she was, of a sort: auntie Olga. She sent him a toy dog last year which he loves. When he is old enough I shall tell him about the wonderful woman who sent it.
Her art is on my walls, and I will think of her when ever I look at it. She lives on in what she leaves behind, and the love, kindness and creativity she so generously gave will be live on.
