Obituary of Juan Carlos Parodi
Juan was born and raised in Buenos Aires Argentina on the 20th of November 1933. From a very early age he had a love of sports, music and friends, playing bocci, basketball and dancing. He met the love of his life, Maria Ana Parodi, at a dance. They married in 1958 and had two sons, Ruben Omar and Daniel Silvio. In 1991 they followed their two children to Toronto, Canada where Juan and Ana started a new life, becoming in-laws and grandparents.
Juan was the most dedicated grand-parent to his grandchildren, Jessica, Yasmin and Sebastian. He made sure to call and talk to Jessica who lives in Mexico and visited as often as he could. He took Yasmin and Sebastian to school every day, attended all of Sebastian’s basketball games and Yasmin’s concerts, and was always their number one fan. He enjoyed family and always gave his utmost effort to be with them, no matter what.
He had an infectious love of life and made sure that if anyone was around him, they would be laughing and having as great of a time as he was. He made many friends in his new home and enjoyed spending time with them as they explored the diverse cultural events in the city. He had the innate ability to make friends with people of all ages and because of this many of his son’s and grandchildren’s friends became more like family to him.
He may have passed on to a different place but his laughter, smile, and love will always be with us.
