Just sitting here thinking of you as I do most everyday. I miss you. I miss your laugh, I miss you and Brad disputing over whatever, I miss you putting up with Michele and my silliness, I miss our euchre games and you being a smart ass, I miss our selfies at the end of the night even though you hated them, I miss you always being a good sport, I miss you saying Sheilaaaaaa, I miss the four of us, and I even miss you saying "ok sweetie", I miss how open and honest you were about everything, sometimes maybe to much sharing though. Miss you....Michele, Joel, John Marc, Steph and Briar love you all.

Many stories come to mind in memory of Rob
Remember living in Scarborough, I will always remember the Blue Javelin park in front of the house. Mom and dad were just so excited about him and his car dating Michelle. LOL
Remember the Wedding. Tim Bonhomme and on stage with his live band. Good times and great reception.
Remember the apartment they lived in at Yonge and 401 ( Oakburn Place). Would always go over for visits. Best times were playing Poker with Rob and his friends. Also, can’t forget Yahtzee game with Brad, Shelia, Michelle and Rob. Loved that apartment. So cool.
Remember the cottage on Rice Lake. Putting the dock in the spring. Rob just loved that labour. But his passion was fishing. Remember him on the dock for almost 8 hours in the rain just casting and finishing. He never lost the passion for fishing even when on Moore Point.
Remember the next vehicle. Blazer Truck.
Remember so many more times.
Always loved seeing him work around the cottage in dress pants and running shoes
Playing Poker Texas Hold'em (always the strategist)
Morning coffee on the deck
From time to time always a good yelling match with him - but minutes later we were back to normal
His many cats that he took into his home
Always working on the cars at home and cottage
Mastermind of finding a way home from the cottage on Sunday nights or going up on Fridays
Always reading his books and then being a philosopher on what he read
Always a very hands on man and able to fix anything
And list can go on and on…………..
Will always remember Robert for who he was and the time I spent with him.

Michelle, Jean-Marc, Joel, Stephanie, and Briar,
Tonight I send nothing but love across the Atlantic and I wish that I could be there to help support you all during this terrible time. I had so much fun growing up down the road and a lot of my earlier and best memories include the whole family. Bob was the cause of my most embarrassing moment but whenever I think about, I giggle because I can still hear him laughing! He was a good man and I know that everyone will miss him terribly.
Sending love and condolences,
Stephanie xx

Robert Couture has been and always will be, my Uncle Rob. He took on that title with such pride, commitment and passion. There was never a time when I spoke to him, that he didn't make me smile. Whether if it was teasing me about boys, poking fun at my dad together or even just talking about any general thing, Uncle Rob always made me feel special and loved. He cared so much for me and my sister Brie, and always had the best ways of showing it. I'll never forget the time when I was in elementary school collecting pop tabs for wheel chair donations. I was determined to collect the most in my class, and in doing so I asked for some help from my family to bring in any they had as well. I got a few here and there from my friends and family, but nothing will compare to the bag of pop tabs that Uncle Rob collected for me. At the time I was simply happy to have had the most pop tabs for the donation, but now looking back it makes me even more happy to have seen the dedication Uncle Rob put into it all. It was such a small thing he did that spoke volumes to his character and our relationship. Funnily enough, a few years passed by and he kept the collection going except he began collecting bread tags instead of pop tabs. Oh Uncle Rob, your efforts were much appreciated still. Another memorable moment for me and my Uncle was one Christmas at the Bonhomme cottage, I saw him sitting down with a chess board placed in front of him. I came down to join him and see what he was up to and next thing you know he was teaching me how to play. Now I must admit it's been a while since I've actually played, and I was never quite good at it, Uncle Rob always won, but it was something I enjoyed doing with him whether I lost or not. It was just such an honor to spend that time with him, learn from him and admire him. On the other hand, though, there is a game he's taught me that I still play and remember him for to this very day. It's a card game called golf. We played it one day sitting outside in the sunny warm weather on the small cottage deck. I always found that he was very patient when teaching me these sort of things, and always took a sort of pride and love for doing so. To prove his patience even more, the man was a very good fisher. I remember one day he took me out with my little Barbie rod, set a worm upon the hook and told me to cast off. I wasn't sure what that meant so I simply dipped the rod in the water waiting for a nibble. About 10 minutes passed by and I was ready to head back, but Uncle Rob stayed out there until he was able to catch a nice large bass for all of us to enjoy. I've had so many amazing times with my Uncle that will be cherished forever. He was a good man who was often independent, but very strong willed and family oriented at heart. He always saw the best in me and treated me with fairness and equality, relentless of my age. He taught me how to grow and mature, and these are things I'll always be thankful for. He was an incredible Uncle and will be missed dearly. I love you Uncle Rob. Rest in peace

Michele, Jean-Marc and Joel.
We would like to offer you and your family our deepest and most sincere condolences. Robert was not only a neighbour but also a good friend. He was a great person to carry a conversation with, always sharing his honest opinion and willing to listen to what you have to say. Summer was a time we spent many hours chatting about everything such as politics, religion, technology and cars. He was always a jolly person and his laughter will never be forgotten. We will miss him very much.
May his soul rest in peace.
