Obituary of Anne Theresa Gillis

Mississauga, Ontario - Anne Gillis, a longtime resident of Mississauga area died Sunday, December 9th, 2018 at Etobicoke General Hospital.

Anne worked at several jobs with her latest being a custodian with the Toronto Board of Education.

Born in Iona, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late James J. Mac Neil and Marion Mac Neil (Venedam).

Besides her deceased parents, she is survived by two children, Karen (Harmer) and Corey Gillis both of Ontario. Brothers, Gord Mac Neil (Heather), Ottawa, Ontario, and Wayne Mac Neil (Cheryl), Tiverton, Ontario. Three sisters, Cecilia Mac Neil and Alice Gillis (Scarborough, Ontario), Debbie Mac Neil, Antigonish, Nova Scotia; and several nieces and nephews and two grandchildren, Shawn and Noah. She was pre-deceased by three brothers: Dannie, James, and Douglas.

We welcome you to visit with us on Monday December 17, 2018 between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the eco Life Celebration Centre at the Sandalwood Chapel of St. John's Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium (737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga).

A Funeral Liturgy will follow from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the eco Life Celebration Centre at the Sandalwood Chapel of St. John's Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium

Burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Meadowvale Cemetery (7732 Mavis Road, Brampton).

Guest parking is available at St. John's Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium and Meadowvale Cemetery. At St. John's Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium, please park in the main lot by the church and walk through the cemetery gates to the building located on the right.
