William Gibbons

Obituary of William Edward Gibbons

William (Bill) Edward Gibbons

Son to James and Elizabeth Gibbons, Husband to Rosemary Gibbons of Mississauga; Father to Andrea,(Mark), Kelly Ann,( J.J.) ; William,(Nadia); Grandfather to Charlie, Lucas, Samantha, Kloe, JJ Jr, Connor, and Summer.

Bill and Rose were introduced by Rosemary’s parents and Bill's Aunt and Uncle. They had three kids; Andrea, Kelly and William. William says he’s the best and he is the best brother.

Life took them on many journeys; some paths were easy some were hard; all paths ended with Bill asking Rose “Do you want a cup of tea?”.  When we look at our parents and the relationship that they had, we have to admire the commitment that they had to each other, and the love they shared was incredible and will be never ending.  A love interrupted too early.

7 Cups of Tea, by Lu Tong (795 - 835 CE)
The first cup kisses away my thirst,
and my loneliness is quelled by the second.
The third gives insight worthy of ancient scrolls,
and the fourth exiles my troubles.
My body becomes lighter with the fifth,
and the sixth sends word from immortals.
But the seventh—oh the seventh cup—if I drink you, a wind will hurry my wings toward the sacred island.

Things dad always said to us: “no you’re not thirsty go to bed; stop hitting you’re sister; where are you? I’m coming”

Our dad was the teacher of many things: shoe tying, spelling words, multiplication tables, and even a periodic table.  He was a master cycling instructor; having taught 3 Children and 3 Grandchildren the art of balancing on two wheels.

Dad passed on his passions to his children, reading, music (the louder the better), and brussel sprouts.

Dad taught us the value of hard work and perseverance.  Also how to drive aggressively though a crowd using the point system.

Bill touched the lives of many people; a Son, a Husband, a Friend, a Father, a Grandfather, a Buddy.
