Obituary of Leona Williams
Psalm 121
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper:
the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day,

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:
he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend Leona Emily Celestina Williams, 64 of Toronto, ON who was called home to glory on January 1st 2019 with her family by her side.
Born to the late Samuel and Elfreda Lewis, March 16th 1954, in the parish of All Saints, Antigua Emily Leona came to Canada in 1970. Forever the ‘city girl’ at heart, she built her home and family in the city of Toronto where she worked in the caring services as a Medical Lab Technician and then a Personal Support Worker. Although there were many moments of sorrow and joy, Emily Leona faced it all with tenacity, courage, strength and an unwavering faith in the Almighty.
She has been survived by her older sisters Yvonne Felice, Veronica Marinello and her brother Malcom Lewis. She is also survived by her daughters Melissa and Rachelle Williams and her grandsons.
The Family would like to welcome all of her friends and family members to celebrate her life’s journey by inviting you to her visitation which will be held on Friday, January 11th, 2018 at 10:15 am until the Celebration of Life Ceremony at 12pm all at Rexdale Alliance Church (2459 Islington Avenue, Etobicoke). Burial will follow at St. Philip's Anglican Cemetery (31 St.Philips Road, Etobicoke) and a reception will follow at Rexdale Alliance Church.
