Obituary of Janet Martin

Passed away on March 15, 2019 at the age of 96. She is forever cherished by her daughters Joanne Martin, Debbie (Dave) Landers and Lynn (Brad) Chown. Special grandmother to Sean , Chris, Melissa, Michael (Michelle), Mark (Marcy), Peter (Katelyn), Keith (Kim) and Lindsay (Aaron).  Great-grandmother to Avery, Summer, Nolan, Alex, Liam, Alexander, Grayson and Annalise. Predeceased by her sister Margaret (Herb) and brother Robert (Mary).

Janet was born in Scotland and came to Canada in 1928 where the family settled in Montreal. She met her husband Bob during the war and were married in 1946. They moved to Etobicoke in 1973, then to Mississauga in 2001. Janet and Bob enjoyed travelling over the years and she continued to travel after Bob’s passing in 1993. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren over the years.

Please join us in celebrating Janet’s life on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 for visiting from 10:45 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at which a Memorial Service will be held. A reception will follow on site, all at the eco Life Celebration Centre at the Magnolia Chapel of St. John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium (737  Dundas Street East at Cawthra, Mississauga). Interment will take place a a later date.

Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the church. Please proceed through the cemetery gates to the main building located within the cemetery.
