Obituary of Theo De Souza

Peacefully passed away on Saturday night at Trillium Hospital.

Cherished husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He is survived by his wife Phyllis (nee Monteiro) of 70 years, Jude (Maria), Rita (Christopher), Thomas, Susan (David) and Ian (Louise); Papa to David (Carolyn), Sherri (Derek), Julius, Nigel, Keegan and Angelica; Big Papa to Sophia, Mya and Zoey.

Born in Anjuna, Goa.  He spent much of his life in Uganda and the balance in Toronto, Canada.  He was an avid sportsman playing field hockey, billiards, he loved fishing, playing cards for high stakes - sometimes even winning big!  He and Phyllis were very social and had many friends of all ages. 

He was a gentle soul, soft-spoken man with a big heart who took great care of his entire family.  He was greatly loved by his family and all their friends and he loved us all in return.  We will all miss him dearly.

We welcome you to visit with our family on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 4-6 & 7-9 p.m. at the eco Life Celebration Centre - Magnolia Chapel of St. John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium (737 Dundas St. East, at Cawthra). 

Vigil Prayers will be said at 4:30 p.m. 

A Funeral Mass for Theo will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at Cristo Rei Roman Catholic Church (3495 Confederation Parkway, Mississauga) with cremation to follow.
