Peter was a delightful gentleman in every respect. Kind and gentle, he listened to everyone very carefully. I had the privilege and getting to know him over the past 15 to 20 years. Peter, Eileen and my dad were the best of friends. We enjoyed many afternoons at Aunt Kitty’s home. He always had a smile. My sincere best wishes to Peter’s family for comfort and wonderful memories.

Peter was a kind and gentle man and I hope that the many wonderful memories of his time spent with family and friends will serve to comfort and help the Barr Family get through this very sad time. Our heartfelt condolences to all of the Barr's on the passing of a true gentleman.

A few photos of Peter & Eileen; the very best next-door-neighbours one could ever have! They quickly became such a big part of our life and grew with us from over the fence. Peter was always nearby to keep a watchful eye or toss a ball with the kids; and Eileen and I had deep and light hearted discussions as we hung our laundry on the line. My Husband and I extend our condolences to Peter's family. When I saw his obituary in the Star Newspaper this morning, it brought back many pleasant memories. Peter was helpful to me, a new employee, in the Credit Department of Canadian Oil, and I remember him speaking affectionately of his wife and boys.

Loving condolences to Peter's family.
There are many fond memories of family gatherings back in the 6os and 70s. Peter's Mom, my Aunt Edith (my favorite) was my Dad's older sister.
In more recent years when I was the Director of Nursing at Thompson House, Peter would drop by and join me for lunch after his bridge games next door at Taylor Place. And we would reminisce and get caught up on family news.
My thoughts are with you as you mourn his passing.

My sincere sympathy to all the Barr family on the loss of a wonderful Father, Grandfather
and Great-grandfather. In happier times, Charlie and I enjoyed many visits with Peter & Eileen,
when they lived in Toronto and when Steve became one of our family, Thank you Steve, it's because of you and Valerie that we had the pleasure of meeting your parents.
