Obituary of Elizabeth Scott

Elizabeth Scott (née Bette Arbuckle)

Born July 26th, 1929, Donkin, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Peacefully in her home, on December 20th, 2020. Predeceased by her husband, William Roy Scott (1909 - 1997).

She was the last remaining of 15 Arbuckle brothers and sisters.

Fondly remembered by her five children, Don, Nancy, Sue, Ken and Andy, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fiercely independent to the last, Elizabeth died in her own home surrounded by the love of her family, as she wished. Many times in her final days she commented, “I am the luckiest woman in the world.” May we all share a similar belief when our time comes.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Elizabeth’s name to the charity of your choice. In these difficult times, donations to local charities that support those less fortunate than us would be greatly appreciated.

The family plans to hold a celebration of life when people can gather to celebrate.
