He was proud of me, I was proud of him. He broke swimming records, he showed me what grit is. He taught me trumpet lessons ,and his smile and energy could fill the room. He inspired me to eat a cleaner diet and be kind to myself and the earth. They all say to live today like it’s your last day, because today is all there is. But for me, FOREVER embraces today. Dave, you left too soon, but our memories are FOREVER. Cherished. And Precious.

Dave was a great mentor for young musicians. He encouraged and supported with enthusiasm and optimism many artists in their early career. Dave was also a great neighbour. On many snowy winter days he would surprise us by cleaning our driveway and sidewalk with his snow-blower. Dave had a youthful and optimistic attitude towards life. He was active and fit, and the twinkle in his eye spoke greatly about his sense of humour. We will miss Dave and remember him fondly. May he rest in peace

Dave was a dear friend of mine up to our mid-twenties when I left for Australia. We reconnected briefly again when he was headmaster at Kingsway College where some of my grandchildren have attended. I am so sorry to hear that he has left us. He will be greatly missed. May I offer my most sincere and deepest sympathies to all his loved-ones.

Thank you for being the person you are.  Thank you for being such as great partner for Aunt Jan!  Thank you for being an inspiration with your passion for life! I have fond memories of my visits with you and Jan at our St. Lawrence family picnics.  Your gentle demeanour and ability to listen intently makes each person feel special.  We had a great time watching you compete at swimming and visiting along the river during your trip out West.
