David Forgrave

Obituary of David Alexander Forgrave

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of David "Gravy" Alexander Forgrave announce his passing on February 10, 2021 at the age of 76. He passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. We have lost the center of our family.

Gravy was one of the great ones, “The King of Queen Street”. He was well respected by everyone that knew him. He was a loyal and honest man. Of all the things Gravy was the best at being a father. He was our "go to" when we needed advice, encouragement, and protection. But most of all, for his unconditional love. Men wanted to be Gravy and women wanted to be with him. He never went out underdressed and made sure to be the most charming man in the room.

Gravy will be remembered by his adoring sons, Dave, David, Jimmy, and Jake. He will also be fondly remembered by his 7 grandchildren, Nicole, Holly, Frank, Alex, Jasper, Jacob, James, and Great Grandchild Liam, along with his sisters Beverly and Irene, his sons’ mothers, Eydie, Mary, and Christine, anddaughter in-laws, Debbie, Lori, Amanda, and Natalie.

In death, he is reunited with his parents Gwendolyn and Jasper Forgrave, his son Frank Forgrave, and his sister Gloria. What a wonderful reunion they must be having now.

Due to the COVID restrictions, there will be a private funeral for immediate family only on Tuesday, February 16th.
