It is with profound heartache and sadness that we annouce the sudden passing of Franco (Frank) Mirandola May 22, 2021 in his 56th year, at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto, Ontario.

Frank was born at Women's College Hospital in Toronto, Ontario on March 26, 1966.  Frank leaves behind his beloved husband and partner of 21 years James (Jim) Fraser, his loving Mother Lena (Cribari) Mirandola and her partner Otello Ferraro (Toronto) and his sister Mary Mirandola (Toronto).  Frank was preceded by his grandparents Giuseppe & Adelina Cribari and Aunt Maria Cribari of Chicago.

Frank is survived by his Chicago family, Uncle Ralph & Aunt Anna Cribari, Aunt Rita (Late Robert) Orlindino, Aunt Fran (Late Mike) Ruffolo and Aunt Carmella Battaglia.  Frank is also survived by several loving cousins who were his world.

Frank will be forever remembered for his devotion to his family and his love of sports.  Frank loved his CGSL Softball Family and League, The Toronto Historical Bowling Leauge and the Toronto Volleyball League.

Frank was especially proud of his Drag family and the charities that he and they supported throughout his life.  The Toronto People With Aids Foundation (PWA) and Casey House.

Frank was a beautiful man with a huge heart who could light up a room when he walked in and his smile was infectious.  Frank touched so many peoples hearts and was an outspoken advocate for gay rights and the gay community.  Frank's talents also provided him with opportunities to work on Queer as Folk and several extra positions on TV Shows and movies filmed in Toronto.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Health Centre for the care provided to him.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Toronto People with Aids Foundation, Daily Bread Food Bank or Casey House.
