Sara Kun

Obituary of Sara Kun

Sara was a loving mother, a wonderful wife, and a dedicated professional. She was born in Split, Croatia and moved to Canada with her mother in the early 90’s. Her love for studies and school ensured that she devoured every book she could lay her hands on. She excelled in her education and was accepted into Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008, at which time she also met her future husband. After graduation she articled in criminal defense and, subsequently, practiced personal injury and family law.

In 2018, Sara gave birth to her wonderful daughter. Her love for her knew no bounds. She loved Sophie with all her heart and was there for her no matter the cost. She was her everything.

Sara loved to travel and see the world, but she had a special affinity with the sea. Whether she was relaxing in the Caribbean, visiting family in Croatia, or exploring the culture in Spain, you could always count on finding her swimming in the ocean for hours on end. She had a musical mind and her love for music and dance was known by anyone who has ever met her.

Sara and her husband loved each other’s company and would talk for hours on end about life, love, and everything in between. Sara’s sudden and untimely loss has shaken her family. She was a shining star, a ray of sunshine. She will be missed greatly but never forgotten.

Sara's life will be celebrated alongside her mother's life on Sunday, October 24, 2021 with visiting from 2:15-3:15 p.m. at the eco Life Celebration Centre-Magnolia Chapel of St. John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium (737 Dundas Street East, at Cawthra, Mississauga).
