Gloria McDonald

Obituary of Gloria Jean McDonald

Gloria Jean McDonald (Schneider)

It is with great sadness on Tuesday October 25th, 2022 our beloved Mom, Grandma, Oma passed away at the age of 79, surrounded with so much love.

Our Mom was an inspiring, strong, loving woman who overcame many obstacles in her life. She taught us to love, to forgive and embrace all life had to offer

Her greatest pride & joy was her family and spending time with them.  She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Rosemary Dixon and her son Ross McDonald (Gail). A precious Grandma/Oma to Brandon (Sarah), Matthew (Dean), Mark (Rebekah), Ryan (Cathy), Paige (James), Chad, Lisa (Todd), Christine, Jamie (Mark) and all her beautiful great grandchildren.

A dear loving daughter to Rose & Byron Nesbitt and sister to Ted (Ruth), Jeannette (Joe), Connie (Peter) and Phyllis (Bob).

She had a great sense of humor, loved her sports – die hard Green Bay Packers, Raptors and the Blue Jays fan, wrestling and playing cards but didn’t like to lose. She never missed sending out a birthday card.

She always enjoyed spending time with her best friends Elaine Wright and Wayne Brady, over 50 years of friendship.

‘Your life was a blessing, Your memory a treasure, You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure’

In her memory a donation to the Oakville Hospital Foundation – 3N Palliative unit or a random act of kindness. Such donations can be made using the Donations tab on her home page.

We invite you to share your memories, photos and sentiments of her life here at her memorial web page.
