Obituary of Tome Branco

It is with broken hearts  that we announce the unexpected  and sudden passing of Tome Branco on Tuesday August 22, 2023 at the age of 79 years old in his home.   Loving husband to the late Teresa Branco, devoted father to Suzy Birmingham ( Roger), and Michelle Branco.  Cherished grandfather to Brandon and Nicholas Birmingham and predeceased by his beloved parents Manuel & Gloria Branco.

Tome is survived by his siblings: Lurdes Custodio (Joao), Natalia Resendes (Jose Maria), Manny Branco ( Natalia), and the late Victor Branco ( Maria ) and the late  Zelina Custodio (late Manuel Custodio) as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews.

If you knew Tome, you’d know that he was a kind soul whose humour would leave lasting impressions on all.

Tome will be deeply missed by all his family and friends and we will always cherish the fond memories we had with him.

Please celebrate his life with us on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 with visiting from 2:15 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 9 p.m. at the eco Life Celebration Centre-Magnolia Chapel of St. John's Dixie Cemetery (737 Dundas Street East at Cawthra). Guest parking is available in the lot adjacent to the church. Please proceed through the cemetery gates tot he large building to the north.

Vigil Prayers will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m.

A Funeral Mass for Tome will be celebrated on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Cristo Rei Parish (3495 Confederation Parkway, Mississauga) followed by the Rite of Committal with emtombment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Road).
