Siobhan Patricia McMahon

1963 – 2024

After a long and valiant struggle with cancer Siobhan passed away peacefully Sunday January 21, 2024 with friends and family by her side.  Predeceased by her father Patrick, daughter of Bernadette, sister to Patrick and Martin, aunt to Kaitlin, Carolina, and Emma. 

Siobhan committed her life to the care of others.  As a longtime paramedic in York region and as her time as a nurse, she was dedicated to saving and comforting lives.  A compassionate, intelligent, highly skilled, and valued colleague.  She was brave, loyal, tough as nails and soft as silk.  Siobhan was a protective and valued friend.  Those of us fortunate to know her love know how deeply it ran.  We will miss her humour, her smile, and her unwavering support.  A strong believer in the Geneva Convention, Siobhan had little tolerance for bullies or misplaced arrogance. 

Fondly remembered and dearly missed.

Siobhan will rest at Glenwood Cemetery (47 Ferguson Street, Picton, Ontario) with a green burial. 

A celebration of life on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Owl & Firkin (7181 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, L3R 1A3). Light refreshments will be served with a cash bar.  If desired, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
