Obituary of Geanine Mae Piacenti (née Huard)

On Thursday, February 1, 2024, Geanine returned home to her Lord at the age of 70.

Geanine was born on May 6, 1953 in St. Catharines to the late Adelard and Irene (née Smith) Huard and is the wife of the late Sal Piacenti and sister of the late Roger Huard. She is survived by her brother Wayne Huard and sisters Barb Hildebrand and Donna Huard and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Her smile will be missed by many.

Prior to her MS diagnosis which she faced with dignity and faith, Geanine was a dedicated RPN at the Hotel Dieu Hospital.

Aquamation has taken place and interment will occur in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum-Victoria Lawn Cemetery in the near future.

In thanks for the years of care that Geanine received from various PSWs, we invite you to donate to a special scholarship fund which has been created to reward and financially support worthy recipients of the Personal Support Worker Program at Niagara College.
