Obituary of Om Parkash Pruthi
Om Parkash Pruthi, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2024, at the age of 82.
Om was born on August 15, 1941, in Chennot, Pakistan. His life journey led him to marry the love of his life, Sudesh Pruthi, on March 11, 1975. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with two wonderful children, Mercy and Amit.
In 2002, Om and Sudesh moved to Canada to join their daughter Mercy, who was already living there with her husband Paramjit and their three children. The Pruthi family continued to thrive in their new home, marked by love, resilience, and joy. Om was known for his kindness, humility, and ever-present happiness. He embraced a simple life and never once complained, always finding joy in the small things and spreading his positive spirit to everyone around him.
Om’s legacy of gentleness and contentment lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. While his family and friends deeply mourn his passing, they find solace in the belief that he is now resting with the Lord Jesus Christ, free from pain and suffering.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sudesh, his daughter Mercy and her husband Paramjit, his son Amit and his wife Sarah, and his four grandchildren: Sharon and her husband Manni, Karan, Gaurav, and Joshua.. Om’s memory will forever be a source of inspiration and love for his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace, Om Parkash Pruthi. Your light will continue to shine in our hearts.
Please join us for visiting on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 11:15 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the eco Life Celebraton Centre at the Upper Chapel within the Mausoluem of Bayview Cemetery & Crematorium (740 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington). A Funeral Service for him will follow with interment at Woodland Cemetery (700 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington) with a reception to follow.
