I have been friends with the Shrouders for some 50 years now and am God parent to Annemarie as they are god parents to my youngest child, Chris. We have kept in regular touch in spite of their move and at this time of year we always look forward to getting Keith’s wonderful Jamaican rum-laced cake.
I know Keith to be a loving person of depth and caring, very thoughtful, smart, and that he had a sixth sense . He was talented musically, engaged with life and people, very giving, even sponsored a student at Concordia University. He followed his career path and excelled!
He was a loving husband, father to his two wonderful children and adoring grandfather to Maia. At birthday parties it was easy to see the esteem with which he was held by the people there.
Two days before his accident we had a long chat, I’m very grateful for that and will miss him very much, as I know many others in his life will too. We know that he’s watching over us and that there will be a big party on the other side to welcome him, God Bless you Keith, from Fran, Rick and Chris

TRIBUTE TO MR. K. SHROUDER - BENEFACTOR
The Brown’s Town High School family pays tribute to an extraordinary individual who has left an indelible mark on our institution.
Our beloved benefactor, Mr. Keith Shrouder, has been a steadfast supporter of our school, for many years. He had a special interest in the Arts, and generously provided musical instruments, scholarships, and cash benefits that have impacted the lives of many students.
A true philanthropist, Mr. Shrouder would, for several years, travel from Canada to Jamaica at his own expense, to attend our annual School Leaving Ceremony. He would not come empty handed. The Keith Shrouder award would be presented to the top boy and girl along with a cash award. His commitment to education offered to our students, a beacon of hope, illuminating the path to opportunity, and success.
As we mourn the loss of our dear benefactor, Mr. Keith Shrouder, we will strive to honor his memory by upholding the values of generosity, compassion, and excellence that he embodied.
His generosity, kindness, and commitment to education will never be forgotten.

I had the pleasure and honour to work with Keith at Sealy for several years. Keith believed in me, listened and understood, and advised, coached and helped to elevate my skill levels in finance. He had an amazing sense of humour that highlighted his company.
I missed him when he retired and have thought of him in many occasions since.
I am very sorry to hear about his passing.

Uncle Keith was a special person in our family's life. I always remember watching his fingers as they moved across the piano when he came to visit us. When we returned from Asia in 2003 he not only welcomed my family's return but was also thrilled that I was raising two Jewish boys. I will never forget his incredibly generous gift of the wine for our older son Azriel's Bar Mitzvah.
He was always a very special man and he is missed. xo

May my brother in Christ, Keith Shoulder soul rest in peace. He was a joyous, giving, musical man who cared about his community.
He was very passionate about playing the piano, and attending musical concerts.
i remember going with him to watch Watoto children concert from Uganda, and the Shaw Festival at Niagara on the Lake. More personally, I remember him surprising me with fried fish and avocado from Jamaica. I will miss our Friday lunches.

Keith was always so welcoming and kind when I came to visit the family in Toronto! The last time I saw him was during my visit in summer 2017, when he invited us over for delicious bbq chicken and we had a very fun family afternoon in his yard. My heart goes out to you - I am so sorry for your loss!

The poppy is a symbol of Remembrance and hope, including hope for a positive future and peaceful world.
Our dear friend Keith was one of the most hopeful , full of positivity and always laughing - Keith was a very giving man, we looked forward to his gift to arrive with his homemade rum cake, Heidi’s cookies and of course Jamaican Coffee. For many years it became part of our Christmas tradition to share a slice of rum cake for good luck. Keith had the most unique and beautiful Poppies !! One year we were sent some of these seeds with strict instructions to be sure that we harvest them each year and pay it forward to those who admired and Love them. Keith’s Poppies have found homes all over Alberta - British Columbia - Saskatchewan- his Poppies are bring beauty and joy. Keith you were an incredible Man and we are so blessed to have had the privilege of being your friend - your laughter and dish water insights will be missed dearly. Love you Keith ♥️

Hello Annemarie, we are Ray and Christina. We are very sad to hear of Keith's passing. He was not only a great friend but also a mentor and business associate.
I met him, first, many years ago at T.L. Kennedy High School where he was my accounting teacher. And then I had another opportunity to interact with him at Sealy Canada. We remain friends ever since.
My wife and I enjoyed his home made Jamaican Rum Fruit Cake every Christmas.
The last time we met was on July 31, 2024 at The Apricot Tree Cafe for lunch. We had a good time.
We will dearly miss him.
Our heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family.

I met Keith close to 40 years ago when he worked for Ritchie Rubinoff in the accountanting department and i was an auditor. We remained business friends throughout his life. As recent as a couple of months ago he called me to talk about his latest adventure in buying his local resteraunt. I encouraged him against it and he said he would speak to me soon. One of the most gentle souls i have known. May his memory be a blessing

Condolences to the Shrouders family. I’ve know uncle for over 25 yrs, he had been our church accountant all these years, he had been my personal and financial adviser who never gave me a bad advice.
Uncle Keith was like a father to me, his death has brought so much grief to my family and the church family, but God’s grace and mercy are keeping us. Good night uncle Keith, you never wore a Badge but you had a heart to help people. RIP great warrior you had fought a good fight, you had finished your course, and you had kept the faith, now heavens welcome you. Bishop Davis and family.
