He used to bring me a coffee and a donut on his birthday so I wouldn't forget - what a guy! There's another star in the sky now and it's name is Dave. I hope he knows how much he'll be missed.

I lost the best Uncle a boy could have, Uncle Dave loved cowboys and Westerns, always had a cool truck (we all remember the horn on the Fargo), never said "no" when I asked him to tell me about all of the good stuff in his room (now we call it a man cave) and he was a Fire Fighter, every little boys dream. I will miss him and his stories greatly and think of him always especially when I'm eating black jube jubes.

we are very sad to hear that you've lost Dave. He was a wonderful guy and his friendship

Dear Marci and Family, It is with great sadness that we must say a final good bye to a lifelong friend and colleague. Dave and I were born and raised in Streetsville and his love of his hometown was always evident. I can remember when Dave joined the Streetsville Fire Department and he soon became a competent and enthusiastic part of our operation. I was very happy to have Dave on my rotating weekend crew and Dave often brought Doug to help with our station duties. Dave was also on my crew when we joined the Mississauga Fire Department. He was always a hard and dedicated worker and was an example to many. I will certainly miss our visits that continued over the years, often over a cup of coffee. His smile and wise words will be missed by all his friends, and there many. Our sincere condolences go out to Marci, Doug and Lesley.

Jane and I want to send our condolences to all Dave's family and friends. We will not be able to attend the celebration of live due to being in England. I was very fortunate to work with Dave at Station 101 for many years. Dave was a true gentleman, and respected by all. I only have happy memories of my time spent with Dave and we certainly had some fun. He was someone we could all count on at any time. He was also a very caring person who always asked after my family, Dave was Mr Streetsville. He always joked with me that I live just outside Streetsville. Dave will be missed by many people who were fortunate to call Dave a friend. Chris Sykes.

Dear Marcia and family,
Please accept my sincere condolences.
Dave was a good friend and a wonderful humanitarian.
Always there to help in any way he could.
We shared many great times together at Muscular Dystrophy Telethons and Benevolent Fund functions.
His caring also extended into his beloved Streetsville community.
I recall his daily visits to the nursing homes and hospital to brighten someone's day. I'm sure that all those folks loved his visits.
We are all saddened by Daves passing but we are all better for having known a true gentleman.
Wishing you all the best.

I have very fond memories of the 5 years that I worked with Dave at Station #8, first at Tannery St. then at Britannia Rd.
Dave was an excellent firefighter who taught me (a young rookie) well.
But more than that he was a great comrade who was thoughtful and considerate, always asking me how my mother was doing as well as my sister who was dealing with some major health issues at that time.
It was always nice to see Dave around town even years after we worked together. I'll miss him. He was a good man.
My condolences to Marcia and Dave's family.
