Obituary of David John Spear

        DAVID JOHN SPEAR.

March 25, 1938 – April 5, 2018.

With profound sadness, Marcia, Lesley & Doug advise of Dave`s passing on Thursday, April 5th, 2018 after a short hospitalization where he turned 80 on March 25th. He leaves his wife Marcia (nee Miller), Daughter Lesley Dawn, and Son Douglas John (partner Chris Picano), as well as his sisters Lorna Harris and Jean Watt (husband Laurie Watt).

He was predeceased by his sister Betty Pinchin, nephews Don Pinchin and Ron Pedlar and his parents Jack & Sadie Spear.  Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Ed and Bryn Pinchin,  Leigh Harris-Pedlar, Dave and Beverley Watt and Greg.   Special thanks to all at Credit Valley Hospital for their care during the past 3 Weeks , to Drs. Sequeira, Osborne, Kroll  and Clive as well as Caregivers Donna and Denika from  Spectrum.

Dave lived at 30 Queen Street South, Streetsville until he married Marcia at age 25.   He worked at Sunbrite Margarine, Doughty & Darling Plumbing & Heating, American Motors, Canadian Tire and Mississauga Fire Services;  the last two he loved so very much and would be there to this day if he could.  He was an avid hunter, gun collector, reader of Louis LÀmour and loved his crown Victoria and half ton trucks.  He was Mr. Streetsville helping anyone who needed assistance with a bit of plumbing or delivering an item on his way home from Canadian Tire.  Always a smile and helping hand.  He was very house proud and loved puttering outside at home and at the cottage on Lake Erie.  Always a fire in the pit at the lake with neighbours and friends gathering.

Special thanks to so many friends,  relatives and neighbours during the past six years to both Dave and Marcia for their love, support and care.  We couldn`t have gotten through without you.
