Obituary of George Alexander MacDonald

George Alexander MacDonald, 76, died peacefully on Wednesday August 21, 2019 with his family at his side, following a brief illness. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 48 years, Maureen (Mailloux); his five children: Michelle, James (Elizabeth), Robert (Joanne), Kim (Andrew Teggelove) and Keith (Sharlene); eleven grandchildren: Mary Ruth, Duncan, Lachlan, Sawyer, Sydney, Georgia, Robyn, Archie, Hannah, Benji and Elicia; and many close friends.

Born and raised in Uptergrove , the son of George and Mae MacDonald (deceased), son-in-law of Jim and Mary Mailloux (deceased); brother to Ed (deceased), Duncan, Bob and Charles. George was loyal, steadfast and an avid outdoorsman. He was a man of deep faith who loved his family beyond measure. He is cherished and will live on in the hearts of all his family.

Heartfelt thanks to the surgeons and staff at Michael Garron hospital for their compassionate care over the 37 days that he was in their ICU.

A Funeral Mass for George will be celebrated at the Parish of Saint John, 794 Kingston Road, Toronto on Wednesday August 28th 10:00 am. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations to the Good Shepherd Toronto would be appreciated.
