In fond memory of Joe. We were children when our fathers (Maj. Bruce Brown) were with the 48th Highlanders. We spent considerable time running around the Armories. My condolences to the family

Joe was a very good friend of my brother, Ian Kilgour. Both guys were modern day Peter Pans and dreamers with grand plans. They both adored kids and were always the life of the party. I'm sure they're both swinging on a cloud, with drinks in hand, entertaining all the other angels.
My deepest sympathy to all of Joe's big family.
Sincerely,
Ann

As a young teenager I knew the force known as Joey Potts. We were all the richer for knowing this strong smiling and gregarious young man. Though I hadn’t seen him since our teenage years the legend of his warm spirit persisted through mutual acquaintances who’d encountered Joe personally and professionally. He will be missed.

I met the Potts gang years ago when they came to Whitney Child Centre to attend preschool. The children were always happy and fun to be around . Joe would pick them and would often join in the fun on the playground with a huge smile on his face. He will be missed by many, I’m sending the whole family a hug and may you all find peace . Nanci

So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Growing up as a friend of his brother Bruce and a neighbour just 2 doors down on Nanton, I remember his infectious grin and that unmistakable Potts twinkle in his eye. Thinking of you all, sending a gentle hug and lots of love, Susie Whaley (nee Kash)

Although I never met Joe, I heard a lot about his wonderful cooking from my brother Mark. Mark told me that on numerous occasions, Joe had cooked up a storm and had given leftovers to Mark to take home to his daughters. This revealed to me Joe's generous (and creative!) personality. My deep condolences to Joe's children and family.

I am so sad to learn of Joe's adverse reaction to treatment and subsequent death. Joe was large and in charge when we were young teenagers, he always brought the party with him.
I can only join in the chorus offering heartfelt condolences to the whole family. But for the current virus-laden times I would be proudly marching in the second line that I'm certain Dawn and Roberta, Arthur and Richard and the whole bunch of you would be leading.
Henry Gooderham
Put me on the friends list, if there ever is any communal recognition please.
