Having known Michael for many years, I will miss his spontaneous calls whenever he was in Boston or him popping up at the many conferences we attended, his caring, his humour and especially his love for animals which we both shared. Dear Lise, Elan & Pierce,
Luke & I, Julia & her family and Jonathan send you huge bear hugs (just like the ones that you always gave to us Lise).
We are so sorry to hear of Michael’s passing.
Being animal lovers, we had the upmost respect for Michael’s dedication to helping them. He truly was a warrior.

I was so immediately welcomed into the O'Sullivan household in high school. I fondly remember watching TV on the couch, going out to the GOOF with the whole family and Michael cracking us up with jokes in the kitchen. His love of animals was so evident in both his work and the beautiful dogs and cats who have come through Balsam. I see so clearly his sensitivity and care in Pierce and Elan.
