Michael O'Sullivan

Obituary of Michael Edward O'Sullivan

On February 10 2021, Michael Edward O’Sullivan left this Earth for better things.

Michael and Lise were soulmates from the moment her dogs attacked his and she asked to borrow ten dollars. They have spent the last thirty-five years annoying one another.

They raised two magnificent children, Pierce and Elan, whom Michael loved more than anything in this world.

If you knew Michael, then you knew he dedicated his life to the wellbeing of animals. You would also know that Michael rescued too many animals to count, or fit in his home – though not for lack of trying.

Michael was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis just over one year ago. The last year was a difficult test for the family. Michael handled it with dignity, grace and wry comments.

He could not have done it without the strength of his guardian angel and the family’s adopted son, Corey McMahon. There are no words to fully encapsulate all that Corey has done, and continues to do for this family.

ALS is a debilitating disease that requires a great deal of specialty support. This support is necessary not only for those struggling with the disease, but for their families as well.

Please direct any donations to Sarah Reedman at the ALS Society of Canada or to the charity of your choice. They helped Michael and others more than you could imagine.

His family will be holding an online Irish Wake,

Where we can laugh, cry and have a drink to Michael.

Okay, lots of drinks.

With all our love,

Lise, Pierce and Elan
