Obituary of Brian Joseph Pinder
Brian exemplified love, kindness, generosity, humility, resilience, determination and happiness. To know Brian was to love Brian. He was funny, positive, hard working and honest. Never had a negative thing to say about anyone. His disease slowly robbed him of his speech, his skills, his music, gardening and decision making. However, he still faced the world with a big smile, happy disposition and a wave for anyone that met his gaze. Brian loved people.
His loves were many, besides family and friends who were so very important to him. He loved cycling, gardening, working out, woodworking and his true heart’s passion, music. In his early twenties he was in a band in Orillia where he forged a life long friendship with ‘GRITS’. He came back to his musical passion again in his fifties with ‘Woodshed’ and later the ‘Stevie Ray Vaughan’ cover band. Playing made his heart sing.
Brian adored children always playing with his many nieces (Bubby) and nephews. His heart finally filled to over flowing with the long awaited arrival of his son Mark in 1994. The new dad floated on happiness. He shared many activities with Mark coaching soccer, baseball, hockey and sharing his love of music.
Brian had a full life, he grabbed for all the stars and enjoyed every sparkling step on his life’s path. He was loved unconditionally by his wife of 39 years Alice and his son. He enriched their lives and they are better people for having been part of his life’s journey.
He leaves behind his sisters, Betty Young, Anne Bell, Joan Wilman and sister-in-law, Vera Pinder. He was predeceased by Don Young, Barbara and John Paquette, Doug and Edna Pinder, Bob Bell, Jack Wilman and Francis Pinder.
Also loved and dearly missed by Mary, Claire, Louis, Louis Jr and Sean D’Alton.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday November 5, 2021, at 2pm. Guests are reminded that masks and contact tracing will be in effect. Please join the family at St John of The Cross, 6890 Glen Erin Drive in Mississauga to say goodbye and pay tribute to Brian.
