To meet, to know, to love and to part are the inexorable destinies of us mere mortals. Linda was a kind and gentle woman. She must have endeared herself to everyone she met, as she did to me. Over the years, we talked, we laughed, we shared stories and tears and poetry. Always the one with warmth, enough to light a thousand hearts. May your beautiful soul rest eternal peace. May your family be blessed with strong shoulders, enough to bear this loss. Fly to your exalted destiny and bring joy there as you did here. I will miss you dearly.

Linda was my dear friend for a long time. She was a woman of immense beauty, wit, charm and grace. I wrote a poem for her........"You are flower in whose fragrance lies a mystery and romance. This fragrance tugs at my heart, a mysterious pull, so sweet," Rest in peace my dearest Linda. Bring smiles to those you meet there as you did here to us mortals. All my love....Dean

Megan, I was so sorry to hear of your mother's death. Linda was such a true friend of the Ignatieff family from the time we moved onto Palmerston Gardens. Linda was the real estate agent who arranged the purchase of the house for my parents. More importantly, she was the leader of the community welcoming committee, a familiar friend, a helpful advisor, a frequent source of a cup of flour, a mug of milk for their tea or coffee. What I particularly appreciated was Linda,s fearless compassionate friendship and support for my parents as my mother lost her mind to Alzheimers and my father was increasing unable to care for her or for himself. Linda was always there for them when they needed it. Though I have not seen her since we moved away, I often think of her and will continue to do with greatest fondness and appreciation. Every best wish to you, your partner, and your father as you pass through these difficult moments.

Megan, you have been in my thoughts and prayers along with your mom ever since I heard of her passing on Friday. She was, and must be from this vantage point in eternity, proud of such an amazing daughter. Hugs to you, and condolences. Megan, I’m so sorry for your loss. I know that your mother was an important figure in your life and that she will be missed.
Linda always made me feel welcome and I enjoyed many meals at her kitchen table sharing stories and tackling all kinds of issues. She had a strong spirit and it was always a riot to be around her.
