Contributions to the tribute of Bill McGuire

Bill and I spent many lunch hours together during our university years. When I moved to Ottawa and had a young family I would connect when returning to visit relatives and last saw him in perhaps 2009 or 10 in a walk with another university friend.i usually saw him at his condo once a year up until then. I now live in the UK. . I looked forward to hearing from him at Christmas though he freely admitted that he had trouble putting pen to paper,one of the drawbacks of his ocd I am sure and cards eventually were no longer acknowledged. . I tried to get news of him by contacting the condo committee a couple of years ago and was reassured to hear he was still well and active. I just happened to locate this notice by googling his name. Very sad to hear that he has gone. He led a very restricted life because of his complications, but seems to have found his niche in the condo and continued his cycling and musical interests. I still think of him from time to time and have wondered how he was doing. . It was a pleasure to see the photos of his life. He spoke of his step brother and cousins and early days, in Weston I think, then Etobicoke. This was a lovely tribute. .Dianne Babcock Nairn Scotland
