Bill was always kind.
I first met Bill while he was overseeing what people were putting in the recycling bins and educating people at the same time - I guess he was always an educator at heart. In 2002 when I moved here I remember running into Bill in the shower room in the gym as he was helping an elderly wheelchair bound resident with his shower. He'd help him stand up and even helped by washing his back in the shower. What a trooper. He surprised me with a birthday cake when I saw him in November. We'll miss you Bill.

Bill was a neighbour and friend from 1996 until now, before, during and after our time together on the Green Committee. His devotion to conserving and improving the environment was admirable.
He was a smart and generous and kind person.
I will miss him.

I remember Bill fondly from my years in Toronto when I was a student. Bill and I went biking together. He even brought his bike to Montreal when he visited me in 1983. He had a book entitled Current French and he often asked questions on the French grammar and usage. We always spoke French. All his letters were in French too. Bill, it is with an immense fondness that I remember you and cherish in my heart all the memories of times spent together. You now rest in my heart.
