A Message to Our Families in the Midst of COVID-19
As we consider ourselves an essential community service, eco is taking a number of steps to ensure we are able to continue serving our families in their time of greatest need:
Arrangements from the Comfort of Your Home
For your peace of mind and protection, all elements of arrangements for both immediate death situations and preplanned funerals can be completed over the phone, with all accompanying documentation handled by email. We can also accommodate those who prefer to use online conferencing applications such as Skype or WhatsApp.
Home Visits
If you prefer an in-person meeting in your home, our Funeral Director will respect your personal space by maintaining appropriate physical distance and provide protective masks on request.
Facilities Still Open
eco has many unique partnerships with local community venues that are still able to accommodate small gatherings in accordance with current social distancing legislation.
In cases where there are large numbers of people who wish to pay their respects, we can designate specific times to ensure everyone can be accommodated while also observing appropriate social distancing practices.
Advice on Live Streaming Gatherings
eco can provide advice on easy ways to ensure vulnerable/distant guests and those who choose to stay home can still be 'present' via online streaming technology.
Complimentary Memorial Web Pages
While awaiting delayed gatherings, families and friends can celebrate the life of a loved one through our free online memorial web pages, where photos, stories, and memories can be shared from the comfort of their own homes.
Shifting Funeral or Memorial Planning
eco has great capacity to care for deceased loved ones, whatever the circumstances. We can work with you to shift a funeral or memorial plan to accommodate COVID-19 allowances and restrictions.
Offering More Time via Cremation
For families who wish for cremation to occur, eco can hold plans until social distancing/travel restrictions are lifted, ensuring a proper memorial or gathering can occur at a later date.
Extra Precautions for Everyone’s Safety
We must keep our staff healthy to be available to serve you in your time of need. You may encounter our staff wearing masks and gloves as a protective measure, but we hope to convey our warmth, understanding, and empathy for you through our actions.
We are always available. Please contact us 24/7.

We continue to monitor developments and may adjust our services as needed. In the meantime, please stay safe, and stay well.
With warmest regards,
