Obituary of Robert Justin Pinto
Rare and precious jewel of a man
Obliging, kind and a loving gentleman
Beloved husband and a dear treasure
Emblem of love, a man beyond measure
Revered gem, very caring and simple
Touched the hearts of so many people.
Robert Justin Pinto, aged 72 passed away peacefully on July 28 2021 in Toronto, Canada.
Robert was born on August 6 1948 in Mangalore, India to Antony S. Pinto and Magdalene M. Pinto (née Tauro). He was educated in India and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Mysore. He had retired from a successful career in the energy industry where he worked in a variety of engineering roles across three countries. He was gifted with a unique arithmetic talent to mentally manipulate numbers. This helped him during his college years as an engineering student, in his job as an engineer and in his hobby of trading stocks. He truly enjoyed working with numbers.
Robert’s immense love for his wife, his children and their families was evident in all his actions. He was an avid stock trader and loved traveling to see new and familiar places. He was nostalgic for his homeland and the company of old friends. He cherished his back yard and family cookouts on the deck. Robert had a generous personality and was especially close to his sister and his brothers’ families. He enjoyed keeping in touch with all of his extended family of relatives and friends. He touched the lives of many people with his warmth and authenticity.
Robert was preceded in his passing by his parents and his two older brothers. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, his three children and their families, his sister and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
